Landmark Alantra advised Sur Capital Partners on the fundraising to capitalize Papeles Bio Bio SA, in order to acquire 51% of the shares of Norske Skog Pisa in Brazil.
Papeles Bio Bio SA, is a leading Chilean newsprint producer controlled by the Group BO/Pathfinder and other investors including Sur Capital. The company has an industrial unit with production capacity of 125,000 tons, located in San Pedro de la Paz, Concepcion Province, and 230 employees.
Pisa, owned by Norway-based paper manufacturer Norske Skog, operates the only newsprint production facility in Brazil with annual production capacity of approximately 170,000 tons and 300 employees.
